Description
Varicose veins are blue, bulging, rope-like blood vessels that protrude beneath the skin and often look like a cluster of grapes. They are often found on the inside of the thigh or calf, or on the back of the leg. However, they can form anywhere from ankle to groin. Stony Brook Medicine's Center for Vein Care will be holding free varicose vein screenings at SBM's Outpatient Services facility in Hampton Bays. Each appointment includes a brief ultrasound of the leg veins and an assessment of your vein condition. Registration is required by calling (631) 444-VEIN or visiting stonybrookveincenter.com.
