June 27, 2014 News

Southampton Hospital recently welcomed a new group of 32 doctors to its Residency Program in Social Osteopathic Medicine (RPSOM) with a “white coat ceremony” at the Wölffer Estate Wine Stand in Sagaponack.  Southampton Hospital gives each new trainee a white coat in commemoration of the start of residency.

The RPSOM was formed in 2009 to train new doctors in the community setting and to increase access to quality healthcare on the South Fork of Long Island. New this year, Southampton Hospital and Stony Brook Medicine have formed a combined family medicine program. For more information about the residency program, please call (631) 726-0409.
