The  22,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility at 400 Pantigo Place is on target to open in Spring 2025.

For over a century, Southampton Hospital Association has been dedicated to building the future of health care on the South Fork. The new off-campus emergency facility supports Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and its mission of ensuring all our communities have access to the highest level of medical care.

As part of the Stony Brook Medicine healthcare system, the East Hampton Emergency Department will provide vital access to emergency and health services to those who visit or reside on the eastern most end of the South Fork and further underscores Stony Brook’s commitment to offer world-class clinical care throughout the East End.

Conveniently located adjacent to the East Hampton Healthcare Center, this off-campus facility will have a dedicated resuscitation room; cardiac monitoring capability in every exam room; fast-track treatment rooms for general, pediatric, obstetrics/gynecology, and ophthalmology patients; two isolation rooms; imaging rooms (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray); on-site ambulance for hospital transport; rooftop solar panels, a rain-catch garden and native plantings to reduce environmental impact.

“We thank our donors for their generosity and commitment to this project,” said Jim Forbes, Chair, Southampton Hospital Association. “We are grateful for the $10 million state grant made to Stony Brook University and the unwavering support of the Town of East Hampton and its residents throughout this planning process.”

The new facility also provides new career opportunities. If you are health care professional interested in becoming a team member call Human Resources at (631) 726-0400  or click to learn about these and other job opportunities.
