Ultrasound Technologist Recognized by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Southampton, NY—Ched Baker, RDMS, RDCS, Lead Ultrasound Technologist at Southampton Hospital, has been elected to a 3-year term to the Exam Development Task Force for the Breast Specialty by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).  ARDMS is the credentialing organization for ultrasound professionals.  Over the last 8 years, Mr. Baker has authored questions for several of the specialty examinations that are used to evaluate ultrasound professionals and has also been a reviewer and editor of items that are submitted for these exams by other professionals.  With his new responsibilities, he and four other technologists and physicians will create and implement the Breast board exam that is given to candidates from approximately 30 countries.  “We congratulate Mr. Baker’s achievements in his specialty and for his recognition by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.  He is an exceptional member of the Southampton Hospital team and we are proud of his contribution to the ARDMS and the field of ultrasound technology,” said Robert S.
