Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department

The Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department is one of only a few off-campus emergency facilitates in New York State. It provides vital healthcare services to residents and visitors in the Town of East Hampton, including Amagansett, Montauk, Sag Harbor, and Springs.

Strategically located adjacent to the East Hampton Healthcare Foundation building, the Stony Brook East Hampton Emergency Department is equipped with advanced diagnostic technologies and life-saving treatments including:

  • A dedicated resuscitation room
  • Cardiac monitoring capabilities in every exam room
  • Specialized fast-track treatment rooms for general, pediatric, obstetrics/gynecology and ophthalmology patients/
  • Two isolation rooms
  • A comprehensive imaging center, featuring advanced diagnostic technologies, including MRI, CT scan, Ultrasound and X-ray
  • An on-site ambulance for hospital transport
  • Eco-friendly innovations, including rooftop solar panels, a rain-catch garden and native plantings to reduce environmental impact.

As part of the Stony Brook Medicine (SBM) healthcare system, the East Hampton Emergency Department delivers world-class clinical care in alignment with Stony Brook’s commitment to serving the entire East End. This off-campus facility was designed specifically to provide essential care for those located on the farthest end of the South Fork of Long Island, and operates 24/7 365 days of the year, including holidays.

The imaging center is open to non-emergent patients, who can schedule their appointments through Stony Brook Southampton Hospital by calling (631) 396-6400, 7:30 am to 4 pm, Mondays through Fridays.
