About the Program
EAT WELL with Parkinson's is a cooking and nutritional TV show developed by the Center for Parkinson's Disease at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in partnership with LTV of East Hampton and East End Food. Taped once a month in front of a live studio audience, each episode addresses nutritional and wellness topics specific to people living with Parkinson's disease and includes delicious, easy and nutritious recipes and cooking instructions.
Eating well can boost immunity and optimize health and well-being. Join our team of Parkinson’s and nutritional experts each month as we explore tips and tricks on how to cook well, live well and eat well.
About our Hosts
Sarah Cohen is the Administrator of the Center for Parkinson’s Disease at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, providing expert care and wellness programming to the Parkinson’s community on the East End of Long Island.
Paula Montagna is the Director of Clinical Nutrition at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, bringing over 30 years of nutritional experience and 7 years working with the Parkinson’s community to use ‘food as medicine’ to lessen PD symptoms and optimize health and well-being.
East End Food Collaboration
East End Food connects local farmers and producers with the community to promote sustainable food systems and foster nourishing relationships for everyone. Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s partnership with the nonprofit East End Food explores the intersection of food, nutrition and disease prevention and how the strength of a regional food system provides an important foundation for community health. Our friends at EEF help us prep for each program by sourcing local produce, meat, poultry, and fish.
