This presentation, by Brittany Kickel, RN, MSN, of the Heart Institute at Stony Brook Medicine in association with Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, will focus on what Heart Disease entails, common medical comorbidities, gender-specific risks and the promotion of the Early Heart Attack Care campaign. This campaign is designed to educate the community to not only be responsible for themselves, but also for those around them who may be experiencing early heart attack symptoms. The goal is by spreading awareness and prompting early action, the community can either prevent a heart attack or minimize its damage.
