Description

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is seeking new Pastoral Care volunteers, specifically for its No One Dies Alone (NODA) program, which ensures no patient is alone at his or her end-of-life. Volunteers are also needed for “Compassionate Companions,” the Hospital’s extension of the program that was created last year for the sole purpose of providing companionship to patients seeking company in the absence of family and friends.

A free training session will be held on Monday, November 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hospital, located at 240 Meeting House Lane in Southampton. Lunch will be provided.

Those who are interested in attending the training session, or learning more about the Hospital’s NODA program, can call Palliative Care Chaplain Mary Hogarty at (631) 726-8296.
