The importance of exercise for individuals with Parkinson’s disease can’t be underestimated.  Recent research suggests that regular exercise plays an important role in reducing symptoms and delaying disability.  Sarah Cohen, PT, DPT and Administrator of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Center for Parkinson’s disease will discuss the most up-to-date research looking at the role of exercise in managing PD symptoms.  She will also talk about the community-based programs offered through the Center, including a brief demonstration of the popular Rock Steady Boxing Program.  For more information and to reserve your seat, please call (631) 734-6360.
