The Regional Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center and newly opened Tick-Borne Disease Clinic are totally dependent on grants and charitable gifts to do their important work. Now in its tenth year, the Center has served thousands of residents and visitors with educational outreach, symposia for physicians and medical professionals, a “help line” managed by a registered nurse who has spoken to over 5,500 callers offering advice and counseling on referrals, and distributed thousands of free tick disease handbooks and tick removal kits. The Resource Center is totally self-sustaining and is not supported by Stony Brook Southampton Hospital or Stony Brook Medicine. All donated funds go directly to operations.
During the month of December 2024 all funds raised during our year-end annual appeal will be matched by the Island Outreach Foundation up to $15,000.
Please donate to our Center and Clinic so that we can continue to serve the community. Any amount is welcome and much appreciated!
Thank you!
